to represent God sending someone into the harvest.
Lord you caused the tax collector to abandon his booth.
Compelled his heart to follow you, to walk in your truth.
Found faithful in counting coins, to Caesar he did render.
Until you enabled him to spend his labour, for that which is truly tender.
For you appointed him to a fresh start, a completely new role.
And deposited deep within his heart, a love for the human soul.

You brought the beloved physician into your own personal surgery,
And there you administered your grace.
Taught him of the great medicinal discovery,
Which is found in a look at your face.
You gave him a brand new heart,
Such is the power of your spirit’s operation.
And implanted within it the desire,
To make disciples in every nation.

By the Sea of Galilee, you reeled in the fishermen,
And caught them in your net.
Removed from them their heavy burdens,
And cancelled all their debt.
As fishers of men they were now employed,
Your living words, becoming their choicest bait.
And just like you promised, it would not return to thee void,
As by them your catch was great.

You even caused the prideful persecutor to be cast to the ground.
Blinded him by your heavenly light, turned his life upside down.
By your abundant mercy you gave him eyes to see, the error of his ways.
Chief apostle, to the Gentiles, is how he would spend the rest of his days.
You promised to show him how much he must suffer, for your precious name.
Still gave him the faith, the strength to utter, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Heavenly Father, when will be the hour that I shall receive my post.
Dear Lord, here am I; do send me, in care of the Holy Ghost.
May your hand be placed powerfully upon me,
Just as when I was first sealed.
As I wear your righteousness for my stamp,
And wait for the address to be revealed.
Oh for the day where I shall reach my heavenly home,
And it’s your glorious face I see.
Only then shall I know, even as I am fully known,
And be forever changed, into the likeness, of thee.
